MC_mg_8632.jpgperfect sheets

Apart from pure linen, cotton sheets are my favourites. Perfect for any season they always look fresh especially pure white ones and are incredibly hard wearing.  Being natural fibres, cotton and linen ‘breathe’ and become softer with repeated use and washing.  These sheets are lovely to use for the whole family.

quality

Sheets vary enormously in terms of what they are made from as well as quality, price and comfort. Always look for a high thread count and long staple fibre as these indicate how soft and long lasting the sheets will be

thread count: refers to how many threads have been woven into ten square centimetres of cloth, the minimum quality should be around 230 thread count, even better is around 400, but the best can be up to 1000 thread count

staple: refers to the length of the fibre, longer being softer, silkier and more lustrous. Egyptian, Pima and Upland cotton all have an excellent staple length and generally produce higher quality sheets

QT quick tip ....

Purchase several sets of sheets at once in exactly the same style and colour.

This way, your linens will always match perfectly without having to 'group' sets before making the bed.
