Subdued and stylish, grey is a key colour this season.
The grey palette includes washed out soft greys, charcoal, ash and steel while space age silvery metallics add spark and shimmer to the scheme.
Soft, sober colours are grey beige, taupe, tobacco and white.
Greys rather than black are being used more this season for less contrast as well as their ability to sit with so many other colours. They combine well with inky blues, greens and shimmery yellows as well as with silver – for light and transparency.
Black, grey and white is a popular combination, while at home, warmth is added by combining shades of grey with natural bleached and honey coloured timbers.
Felt, wool, concrete, porcelain and bone china are all key materials. The look is soft and earthy combined with modern materials and industrial elements.
